sorry for the delay

let's get back to our regularly scheduled program. allow me to catch you up on my daily happenings...

march 10: worked at starbucks, beautiful afternoon and evening.

march 11: rode my bike, did some laundry and cleaning. it was a great day and i was feeling restless.

march 12: woke up with a sore throat. went to work, managed to hold on until 2pm. went home, slept. went to class to take my mid-term. joy.

march 13: sore throat expands from left side to the entire thing. i described it to a friend as "swallowing sandpaper covered in fireants." the pain woke me up repeatedly during the night.

march 14: the beginnings of stuffiness. got that annoying drippy nose that isn't totally blocked but lacks the sniffing power to keep the stuff inside. sore throat burns on. i go to the doctor who tells me it's not strep. good news, but that means i won't get any medication to relieve any of the symptoms. and cholorseptic ain't cutting it.

march 15: i attempt to go to work. i get most of the stuff off my desk before being upright feels like razors on my skin. i got home around 1:30, after running into the boss, who gives me "that look" for leaving early the second day of the week i bothered to show up.

march 16: i actually feel well enough to go to work and stick it out. by now the sore throat has waned, leaving me with a 2-pack-a-day voice. at least there's no hiding i'm really sick from co-workers. oh, and the constant bose-blowing helps, too.

march 17: armed with day-quill and cough drops, i go to my 8-hour shift at SB. i'm expecting the worse, with it being National Drinking Day and there being 5 bars within a 2 block radius. but it's not bad and we get out relatively early.

march 18: rest and relaxation. snot and mucus. sleeping with the vaporizor drives me crazy and i get into coughing fits when i lay down. ah, the life of a cold.

the cold has pretty much gone away, leaving me that splendid wall of phlegm that just hangs in the back of your throat. mine likes to linger because of my allergies and my strange immune system. if i'm still snorting up "stuff" by the middle of next week, i'll have to pay the doc another visit.
