i took my car in to be looked at because it's been making all sorts of unhealthy noises, like grinding and squeaking. and i actually wanted to take it in on my own rather than having it towed.

i dropped it off in the morning, before they were open. i wrote them a note and put that and the key in their drop box. around 11, i got a call from them.

$582.36.

sigh.

i'm officially going to have to hook in order to keep this car.

the back brakes are what's making that horrible grinding noise. and the crunching noise that i hear when going over a speed bump... my axle. huzzah.

on the positive side, my clutch is fine and so are my front brakes. so hopefully this will be the last repair for a long time.
