moving sucks

so, the last weekend in april is the 29-30. i thought that maybe i could move that weekend, since everyone else is. well, it turns out the chick who lives in the apartment now is moving out for the entire weekend. she has to be out by noon 1 may. noon. so that gives us what? 5 hours of light to move into a new place. i can see now that moving schedules favor the current tenant and not the new one.

and now is the time to find out who doesn't hate back-breaking labor. i'm going to try and hire movers, as i live on a second floor and we're moving to a third floor apartment with no elevator. the saving grace in all of this is that scott has a garden apartment. so, now, in my free time, i get to call movers and beg them to give me quotes and at the same time to call all of my friends and beg them to become movers for one day.

if any of you out in blogland live in the chicago area and want a good workout on 1 may, feel free to come down and help out. all the free beer and pizza i can afford.

maybe i should just buy a keg.
