indian food recap
the indian food assembly went pretty well. the strange thing about making indian food is that when you're making it, it's kind of gross. adding tomatoes to a huge pot of onions and indian spices was really nauseating for a little while... so much so that i had to leave the kitchen. but it all melded well in the end and actually made a product almost like what i ate at essence of india.
the naan turned out terrible. it tasted good, but it was nothing like naan, more like naan hockey pucks. we ate it anyway.
here's the problem that i have with cooking. i'm usually so sick of the food by the time i'm done making it, i don't want to ever see it again. when i left for work on saturday, i told scott that he could have the rest of the left overs because the whole thing had kind of made me sick. but when i got home that night, i was hungry for it and it was good. and i find that this is the way with most of the cassarole-like dishes i make.
i made chili once. then i took the left-overs to work the next day and ate them for lunch. and they made me sick. the night before they were fine, the next day they irritated me. i think i get worked up that i had made something wrong, like i didn't cook the meat enough and i was going to get food poisoning. or maybe i just hate cooking.
anyway, i doubt i'll be trying indian food again anytime soon. when i was at SB the next day, i could smell it on my skin. and even for the next few days. bleh. it was good, but not so good that i want to live it for the next 48 hours.

well _I_ thought it was really good. the naan wasn't very naan-like, but it was really good anyway.
