Honey Moons, June 8

friday, the last day for our three-day park-hopper passes. we still had to do Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Peter Pan's flight. we hadn't ridden the monorail. our plan was to go to Epcot and then Magic Kingdom. and the MK was open until 2am for people who were staying at a Disney resort.

here's what we accomplished:
epcot
journey into imagination (not the same as when i was a kid)
test track
mexico pavilion
norway pavilion
japan pavilion, where i ate sushi and scott had a beef rice bowl
germany
italy pavilion
soarin'
test track again

then we went back to hotel. we had dinner reservations at the french pavilion at 5:30, so we didn't have much time to nap. but we managed to get back to epcot (about 10 minutes late) with storms threatening. we ate at the Bistro de Paris. holy crap, was it good. scott got a prime rib thing and i got scallops with mashed potatoes. and then we got this chocolate explosion for dessert. it was really amazing.

then we shopped around while our food digested. then we got on the monorail and headed over to the Magic Kingdom. Here's the damage we did there:

Big Thunder Mountain (which we rushed to while the 10pm fireworks were going off)
Splash Mountain (we got wet in the first 30 seconds of the ride and had to walk around the park with wet pants for the rest of the night)

we got to the line of space mountain around 11:45pm, with a wait of about 45 minutes. i almost couldn't do it. i told scott i was just too damn tired to stand in a line for 45 minutes. we started walking to the front of the park, but i felt so bad that i was denying scott his double ride on his favorite attraction. so i found some enery deep within and we went back to magic mountain.

while we were waiting in line, we grabbed a FastPass for the next ride. if we timed it right, when we came out of the ride, we'd be able to get right back on with the FastPass. so we got through the line without falling asleep, and then we went to the FastPass line, where the gestapo made us wait the 5 minutes until 12:45, the time that the pass was for. sheesh. but we got back on the ride without a riot.

we finally got back to the hotel at 1:30am. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
