allergies
for those of you who read my blog that are interested in my health, as i'm sure all 5 of you are, i've gotten a bit of news that has made me quite sad.
i have found out that i'm allergic to cow's milk, beef, pork, and soybeans. when i asked my doctor, so does this mean i won't be able to eat any tofu, he said, "well, you'll have to do an elimination diet for a few weeks, then introduce each thing back and see how you feel." man, i ain't got that kind of time. well, i guess i do, but still.
this means that i can no longer drink anything at starbucks except the black iced tea. sigh.
so here's a list of things that i can't eat. at least until i find out how badly they mess with me:
* frosties from wendy's. i KNOW these things do a number on my digestive system.
* no yogurt. and i KNOW this also messes me up. which totally sucks because i love eating those 60-100 cal yogurts for a snack.
* no pulled pork sandwiches.
* no burgers. wtf? how can i get through life with a big juicy burger from Edgewater Lounge? or a crappy, little, yet still good, jr. cheeseburger from wendy's?
* no cheese.
* no hot chocolate.
* no tofu in my pad see ew.
* no ice cream. i've been eating Bryer's Light Double Churned whatever and i haven't been seeing any adverse side effects, tho. we'll see.
* no edamame.
* no cheese.
* no soy cheese.
i'm also mildly allergic to oats and egg whites. which might explain the strange gas i get in the late afternoon everyday, since i eat my oatmeal around 10am. sigh.
but i can still eat the following:
* sushi.
* turkey burgers (without cheese)
* chicken
* candy
* ostrich
* emu
* rabbit
* eel
ok, i'm being sarcastic, but hey. maybe i'll finally lose some weight. not bloody likely, but if i actually stuck to the "no allergic foods" diet, i might feel better and have more energy. bah. who needs that?

I've got some great eel recipes for you.
well damn, that sucks!
High five for correctly putting the "D" in "Iced tea." I saw "Ice tea" turn up in a New York Times Crossword puzzle and almost drove to NY with my set of golf clubs and beat some sense into them.
Bevis- you have golf clubs? ;)
