update

my life is much more hectic than i would like. and i'm having a hard time calming down during the down times. i feel like i'm aquiring ADD due to my crazy schedule. and chemistry is really kicking my ass. i guess i'm hanging on by a thread (probably getting a B) but it's coming at a hefty price: studying. i know, i know. a lot of you people out there have gone to college and realize that this "studying" is part of the deal. but i would bet that most of you weren't art students. us art students didn't have to study, we just had to stay up all night, putting our last-minute projects together, be it a paper-mache house or a photo project.

but now that i'm trying to better myself, challenge myself, i have to, what's the word? READ! and not about things that i want to read about. i have to read about ionic radii and covalent bonds. and electronegativity. did i put you to sleep with that last sentence? oh, and we can't forget about dipole moments! anyway, if i really want to turn this "biology hobby" into anything worth while, i'm going to have to take MORE CHEMISTRY!! just the thought of it makes my head hurt. and not just one more semester... three more. general chem 2, then organic chem 1 and THEN organic chem 2.

i have to say that i might find organic chem much more interesting than general chem. like i give a fuck about PbI2. tell me about carboxyl groups and the krebs cycle. i want to know how this chemistry messes up the body. tell me what happens when you ingest As (that's aresnic to you non-period table people). anyway, i just want this class to be over so i can have my monday and wednesday nights back.

of course, reading ER doctors' blogs keep me plugging away. i'm not sure if i have it in me to go that far, but who knows? what else am i doing?
